Finding Humor

I work at finding humor wherever I can find it. Sometimes, that requires some searching. I spent a lot of time at Mayo Clinic when I was going through the cancer thing. Now, Mayo isn't known for their comedy club (They don't have one!), but I didn't let that stop me. I didn't go around laughing at everything. That would be most inappropriate. Having a merry heart is simply taking a lighter approach to life.

One thing I do is wear my Green Bay hat since Mayo is located in Viking territory. I've had some fun conversations because of that hat. It has been proven that laughing aids healing. Finding humor is a choice we all can make.

Start by not taking yourself so seriously. I have to laugh at myself constantly. The other day, I needed the phone number of a certain doctor. I called another business to get his number. I grabbed a piece of paper to write the number down, and after the call, I realized that piece of paper was from that doctor with his phone number right at the top. I just had to laugh!
