God Can’t Be Bought
I've said this before, but God can't be bought, and He doesn't play 'Let's Make a Deal'. He's all about equal opportunity, and everyone is His favorite. God doesn't take sides, so don't even try to involve Him in helping your favorite team win the game! However, I do believe that if He has a favorite football team, it has to be the Green Bay Packers. Just saying.
There are multitudes of people who have tried to bribe God since time began. I've always wondered how many people were banging on the arc trying to get in. That is why God Himself closed the door and not Noah.
I heard a guy say one time that he believed that everyone would go to heaven. What I heard him say was that he wanted to go to heaven but on his own terms. God cannot be a party to sin.
When Jesus was on the cross, He literally became sin for us. God had to turn his back on Jesus at that moment. If He did that where His only begotten Son was concerned, man doesn't stand a chance outside of forgiveness.
I hear people say that God is a loving God, and He certainly is! But don't forget that God is also holy, and He is righteous!
