Jumping to Conclusions
I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately, how our actions or words can be taken the wrong way. It seems to me that there are an abundance of people out there just looking for trouble. People can see something take place and jump to the wrong conclusions, and the next thing you know, you find yourself defending your innocence. It happens all the time, unfortunately, because there are people that are all too willing to trip you up instead of build you up.
When I was a kid, we would be busy all summer picking crops. It was bean season, and I finished my row and took in 3 pounds of beans. The guy doing the weighing wasn't paying too much attention and started to give me credit for 10 pounds. I corrected him and said 3 pounds. To this day, I don't know whether it was an innocent mistake or a test. I'm so thankful I chose right and put this verse in motion even though I didn't know it yet. I could have agreed with him and taken the 10 pounds and probably got away with it; I'll never know. What I do know is I did the right thing!
