More Than Capable

"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house in the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock." Matthew 7:24&25

My biggest goal in life is to hear Jesus say, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" The alternative is to hear Him say, "Well, you made it!"

I've read these verses many, many times over the years, but this is the first time I have read them in terms of finance. Today's study is doing things God's way. Next time will be the world's way.

From the world's perspective, doing things God's way seems foolish, but Jesus said it's wise. Building in rock is hard; it's dirty, and it takes time. There is nothing quick or easy about it. However, using the Master Builder's blueprints is the best and longest-lasting.

Don't you think that the One who created the universe, putting everything in place with such precision that it doesn't get out of whack, is capable of meeting all of your needs with plenty of room to spare?
