God Is Faithful To His Word

I noticed a couple of similarities between these verses and the last ones. First, they both heard the words of Jesus, but only one of them applied the word to their life. Second, the storms of life hit both men. One man prospered and the other man was wiped out.

There is a wrong teaching in the body of Christ that goes something like, "If it's easy, it must be God."  The problem with this is we start to be led by circumstances instead of the Word. Years ago, a hurricane was on its way to Florida. (There's a shocker!) One particular neighborhood was the center of attention. Everyone did the usual things, board windows, and evacuate. One family got into the Word, declaring protection scriptures over their property and everything on it. The storm came through and wiped out that neighborhood, except for one house. The only damage this family suffered was losing a door on a storage shed. The rest of the neighborhood? Totally wiped out!

God is always faithful to His word!!
