Settled in God’s Truth

"That we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting." Ephesians 4:14

We are living in a time when there is unprecedented deceit being handed out. What gets me is the level of the lies that are being presented as truth. You have whole segments of society that are being deceived, and the sad part is they believe the lies as truth.

It is so important to not only know the truth but be rooted and grounded in it. Unfortunately, what we are going through right now pales in comparison to what will happen, according to Matthew 24. It says that deceit will be so pervasive that even God's people will wonder what is right. It is to our advantage to really know the truth and be so solid in it that no wind of indoctrination can make us bend to it.

The three Hebrew children in the book of Daniel went through this very scenario. They refused to compromise when faced with false worship or death. They didn't even have to think about it because they had already settled it.

My prayer is that each one of us would be so settled in God's truth that there is nothing to compromise on.
