The Truth about Faith and Finances

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be good in my house. And try me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10

In my many years as a Christian, I have seen every kind of tither there is. Okay, I have been most of them at one time or another. It shocks me that most Christians don't tithe, but those who do, tithe out of a sense of duty or obligation. The second group treats tithing as another bill to pay.

Sad to say, I know of a church that actually sends out monthly bills to everyone in their congregation.

I have chosen to make tithing an act of worship and a place to put my faith to work. If I willingly do my part, I have a right to expect God to do His part. While that may sound a bit arrogant, I'm doing what this verse says to do. I have become a first-hand witness to the power of God working in my finances in ways I could never have imagined.

I'm no financial wiz by any stretch, but I have learned a few things along the way. For some time now, I have felt God leading me to share God's truths concerning faith and finances, so I'm going to get bold and do it. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
