Righteous Man's Work

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 11:4

One can only guess how many people throughout the ages have tried to bribe or bargain with God to get into heaven? Something I have wondered about is how many people were banging on the sides of the Arc wanting in when the rains started? These were undoubtedly the same people that made fun of Noah the whole time he was building the ship.

People want to be counted among the righteous without being righteous themselves. They want to have a righteous man's reward without doing a righteous man's work. There is only one way to heaven, accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. God is a meticulous record keeper and He knows everything about everyone. There are no shortcuts where God is concerned.
