Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7

The word blessed means to “enjoy the bliss of heaven.” But wait! How can we enjoy the bliss of heaven here on earth? When you trust God and abide in Him, it can be (in a way) heaven on earth. No, your streets will not be paved with gold, but you have access to the protection and provision in heaven.

The verse goes on to say, “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit” AMPC.

What a beautiful picture to represent our lives when we trust God. Dire circumstances are like water off the back of a duck. Yes, tough times come, but we are safe and secure when we are abiding IN HIM. We don’t have to worry or be anxious about anything because He protects us and provides for us.

Dear Lord, help me keep my hope and trust in you alone. Amen
