And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
This verse is an incredible promise from God that He can turn it around for good no matter what we face in life. I think this scripture is sometimes misunderstood. Many people believe that God causes good and bad things to happen since all things work together for good. And that is furthest from the truth.
The devil doesn’t need any help from God messing things up! He does a good enough job himself. God is a good God – there is no evil in Him. And the devil is bad; there is no good in him. Because of the fall of Adam and Eve, they gave their authority on the earth to Satan. Satan has been busy ever since, bringing sickness, pain, and all kinds of trouble to people.
But God made a way to get the authority back through our precious Savior, Jesus Christ. He took the keys of authority from the devil and gave them back to God’s people – the ones who “love God, and are called according to His purpose.”
Because Jesus made a way, it doesn’t matter what the devil throws at us because God can turn around for our good! Praise God! Trust Him with your situation today. It might look bleak, but God can turn it around for your good!
Thank you, Lord, for working on my behalf. Thank you for turning around situations in my life that have been messed up. Amen
