The Holy Spirit Is Your Helper
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
1 Corinthians 2:11-12 goes on to say, “For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”
As we have been discussing provision this month, you might wonder how you can know and understand the provision of God. We have an extraordinary gift given to us called the Holy Spirit. He is living and abiding in us and will reveal all we need to know about Himself and His plan for us. One of the attributes of the Holy Spirit is a Helper. He is ready to assist us with whatever we need. Not only that, but He is working on behalf of our Father God and will reveal to us His heart.
We have not even scratched the surface of what God has for us. However, His heart won’t be revealed to us just because we want it. The scripture reminds us over and over to SEEK HIM. To seek after someone takes effort on your part – unless you are playing hide-and-seek with a two-year-old!
It seems that the more valuable something is, the more time and effort it will take. The deep promises and provision of God won’t be realized by occasionally reading your Bible and sometimes going to church. The richness of who God is will be revealed to you through the Holy Spirit and spending time day in and day out seeking Him.
Dear Lord, Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit living on the inside of me. I thank you that He is helping me and revealing your heart to me every day. Amen.
