He is Worthy

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing! Revelation 5:12

How often do you give honor and glory to God? Is it just on Sundays during worship time, or do you praise Him more frequently? I think most people would admit to limiting their praise to a worship service. But the Lord is worthy to be praised at all times. Psalm 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” That doesn’t mean we have to go around singing praises all day, but we should have an attitude of worship all the time. We should recognize God’s goodness and grace in our lives each day. When you hear of something good happening, say, “Praise God!”

Jesus, the Lamb of God, was slain so that we would also obtain power, riches, wisdom, strength, and blessing through Him. He had those things before He came to the earth but emptied Himself so that we could obtain the blessing once again. The least we can do is offer the sacrifice of praise back to Him.

It’s called a sacrifice of praise for a reason. We often don’t feel like praising God or worshiping Him, especially in challenging situations. But that’s when we need to worship the most. Worshipping God will take your focus off of yourself and the problem and on to God, the answer to your problem. Praise Him in your storm, and He will lift you up.

He is worthy of your praise. Start praising and worshipping Him today. Tell Him how good He is and how grateful you are for the many blessings in your life.

Dear Lord, I worship you and praise you today for who You are in my life. Thank you for the many blessings You have bestowed on me. You are greatly to be praised. Amen.
