Extreme Makeover

Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6

One of my favorite things to watch on TV is renovation shows. I love watching a designer and contractor take an old, ugly, run-down house and turn it into something beautiful. Watching the transformations never gets old!

In the early 2000s, there was a show called Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. That show would find a very deserving family – usually one that had endured some kind of tragedy or challenging time. They then demolished the old home and built a new house from the ground up. They didn’t leave anything out with these makeovers – it would be anyone’s dream come true.

That is exactly what Jesus came to do. He came to give your life an extreme makeover that goes beyond cosmetic touch-ups. His makeover begins at the foundation of who you are – your spirit. And renovates every room and space in your heart.

As our verse says, Jesus came to bring health, healing, and an abundance of peace and truth. He came to renovate your life – spirit, soul, and body. So, how do you get all that goodness to be a reality in your life? Simply receive it. Just like you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, take the healing he wants to bring to your soul. When you do, you will experience the most incredible extreme makeover in your life.

Dear Lord, thank you for the gifts of health, healing, peace, and truth in my life. I pray that You would have Your way in my life – that I would be changed in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
