Here on Earth

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:4

The center point for all that we are begins with this verse. Jesus was born into this world to die for us. He took our sins upon himself and suffered a torturous death. He then spent three days in the pit of hell, paying the price for our sin. He did that so we could become a new creation in Him.

The scripture says that we are in this world but no longer of this world. We are born into a new kingdom – the Kingdom of God. Many of us don’t know the depths of that reality. We view salvation as just our ticket to Heaven. However, salvation is much more than our ticket for eternity. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so excited about Heaven! But the kingdom of God is for us now, here on earth.

He borne our griefs and carried our sorrows so that we might be free of grief and sorrow right here and now. He took stripes upon His back for our healing – not just for the great by and by. God loves us so much that He doesn’t want us to suffer one day in our spirit, soul, or body. He redeemed every part of who you are.
