No Plague

"No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling." Psalm 91:10

Evangelist John G. Lake was a man who knew who he was in Christ. He lived in the mid-part of the last century. One of the places he ministered was Africa, traveling there when that country was being ravaged by the bubonic plague the authorities weren't going to allow him entry because of the plague.

John challenged the authorities to place plague germs in his hand, which they did. To their amazement, those germs all died. That plague that was responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths was no match for John G. Lake. He believed God's word over the circumstances he saw.

That same power is available to everyone who believes. God is no respecter of people, but he does respect faith. The only limit He has is our ability to believe. The more faith we have, the more God will work on our behalf.
