Look At the Answer

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not In despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

A lot of people have the mistaken idea that the Christian life is supposed to be problem-free. I hate to pop their fantasy bubble, but they have earth mistaken for heaven. Jesus Himself even said that in this world we would have problems, but He went on to tell us to be happy because He overcame the world. Jesus said at another time that the world would hate you for following Him. One time, the people were so mad at Jesus that an angry mob was going to throw Him off a cliff. The Bible says He turned and walked right back through them. That one has always been hard for me to wrap my head around, but I'm pretty sure angels were involved! We would do well to learn from Jesus. He never focused on the problem at hand, He always looked to the One who had the answers. You and I would do life so much better if we would spend less time looking at the problem, and more time with the One who has all the answers.
