Angels Among Us

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Hebrews 13:2

We had recently moved to a town that got lots of snow in the winter. We had experienced snow before, but not at this level. We were going home one night and slid off the road. Before I could get out of the car a face appeared in the window. He was very friendly and just happened to have shovels. We made small talk while we dug out the car. Pretty soon he looked up, and seeing headlights, said help was coming. A pickup pulled up with a chain and pulled us back on the road. It was then I noticed my new friend was gone. There was a house right there so I figured he just went home.

A couple of days later we took them some cookies Jan had made. The people in the house didn't know what we were talking about and had never seen the man we described. We had an angel encounter! If I had known, I would have asked a different set of questions... and I would have kept the shovel!
