Words like Bullets

Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation. Matthew 12:37  MSG

Words are like bullets, in a way. As long as that bullet stays in the gun, you have complete control over it, but once it is fired, it is going wherever it is going. You can't get it back, and you can't change its direction. Words are like that bullet. Once they are gone, they can't be gotten back, and they can't change course.

You may not have intended to cause any harm, but they did. Saying just the right words at just the right time is a true gift for the receiver of those words. I happen to possess a sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes I can be taken completely wrong, so this is an area I have placed a guard over my mouth. I am very careful in this area and will only use sarcasm when I really know my audience, not as a form of casual conversation.
