An Act of Worship

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." Colossians 3:23

There are things we do that, let's face it, are kind of boring or tedious. Over the years, I have used this verse pretty consistently. By changing my mindset, I have turned tasks that I didn't really want to do into an act of worship.

Have you ever thought of washing clothes as an opportunity to worship God? Here's what to do- when you put a load of clothes on, start by thanking God for a washer and dryer. Thank Him for clean clothes.  If you will do this consistently, something amazing will happen. That task you have to do becomes something you can't wait to do.

That might be a slight exaggeration, but you get the point. If you will make a habit of doing everything you do "as to the Lord", it will change your whole outlook on this thing called life.
