Give Your Wrath To God

"For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." James 1:20

I think it safe to say that, based on this verse, decking someone in the name of Jesus probably wouldn't be an effective evangelistic tool. I can't think of anyone I've heard about who came to know the Lord because they got beat up by some Christians.

Every one of us has moments when we get angry at some injustice going on. That doesn't mean we should go ahead and act on it. What we need to do is go ahead and be angry for a moment and then give it to God. He has ways of dealing with the situation that doesn't involve jail time.

We are in the beginning of the end of all things, and it's getting a little crazy. Everywhere you turn, there's something that will just make you mad. Don't stop there. We are called to be mighty warriors in God's army, but our battle takes place on our knees and is carried out in heavenly places. Give your wrath over to God and dispense His righteousness.
