Bible Prophecy
I am fascinated by bible prophecy. Most of the time, the writer had no idea what they were writing about. When Asaph wrote this, Jesus wasn't even a man yet; he was the Word. Asaph called Him a man, setting the ball in motion for Jesus to come as a man.
The thing to remember about God is that He's not autonomous. In other words, He isn't going in one direction while we go in another. Even though God made everything, in a way, He subjected Himself to man when He gave man the authority on earth.
Now, don't get me wrong here. God is God, and man is man. We are not equal! It was God's choice from the beginning that He would work through man. That is why the prophets wrote the way they did. They were putting God's plan into motion even when they had no idea what they were talking about.
