Power of Redemption

I read a book titled "Iceman" one time. This book was about a mafia hitman who enjoyed hurting people. He was captured and sentenced to prison without parole. After a short time there, he was running all kinds of enterprises there. Among other things, he controlled the drug trade there. One night, he cried out to God, even though he had no concept of God and wasn't sure He even existed. He became a Christian that night without really knowing exactly what a Christian was. That is the mercy of God in action!

Long story short, he eventually became a minister. He wasn't just released from prison; his record was wiped clean. Only our God could do that.

No matter how bad you've been or what you have done, you are not more than God can handle. No matter how many miles you've traveled away from Him, it only takes one step to come back. Don't underestimate God's power of redemption!
