Doing Good

We are told to not grow weary while doing good because we will. When helping another person, we mean well and start off strong, but when our needs become stronger than another person's needs, we tend to scale back, sometimes to the point of drawing back totally.

After lung surgery, I was a hurting unit. It was the only procedure I endured that required physical therapy to regain strength and mobility. I was sent home with two booklets filled with exercises to do. I have a dear friend that took it upon herself to see me regain my strength. She was over at our house for every session and kept me on task, not cutting any corners. She would push me, but not beyond what I could do. I give her all the credit for helping me build my strength and endurance. She didn't stop until I didn't need help anymore. What a gift that was to me! She was the perfect expression of this verse in action.
