God is Good
When I was growing up, there was a theme that ran through churches that God was stern, didn't like fun, and preferred quiet. At that same time, the denomination that Oral Roberts belonged to tried to vote him out every year. His crime? He dared to preach that God was a good God.
I remember being told that "God will get you for that," whatever THAT was! I'm glad I never bought into this garbage. The truth is, God is good! That should be the foundation of our whole concept of God. He is good and wants only the best for His children. He loves each and every person with a love we can't even comprehend.
So, whenever you are having a challenging day when things aren't going quite right, remember that God loves you, and He's got your back!
