Look Out For People

I don't know about you, but I need to be reminded to look out for other people, not in a bad way but in a good way. The easiest thing for me to do is just keep to myself. Each and every person is interconnected with someone(s). We are social by nature (most people, anyway).

It is easy for me to reduce life to the people I get along with the most- me, myself, and I, and even I can be sketchy at times. One exercise I do is pick out someone random and figure out a way to be a benefit to that person. One thing I have developed a habit of is taking my shopping cart back into the store instead of leaving it in a cart corral. It is such a small gesture, but it's one less cart someone else has to deal with.

My wife is so good at connecting with people, a gift I so admire. I, on the other hand, will go out of my way to avoid other people. Maybe this verse applies to some people more than others.
