Peaceful Habitation

"My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." Isaiah 32:18

This verse illustrates perfectly what I talked about in another text. These words were spoken by God to Isaiah, the prophet. This is God's heart written down for us.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but a statement I made was "God completed everything before He started it." God declared that we would live in a peaceful habitation. Then He looked through the ages to where we are today, with all the turmoil going on, the social unrest, the political questions, and financial difficulties. None of these things can affect God's people when we put His word first.

I have declared my house a peaceful habitation. My part is to not let turmoil in. I can't expect the peace of God to permeate every nook and cranny of my dwelling if I'm inviting the world into my house.
