Religions False Doctrine
Religion has taken verses like this and made doctrine out of them. This doctrine is summed up in the phrase, "You never know what God is going to do!" I grew up in this kind of culture. In fact, as a kid, I believed that man was doing his thing, and God was doing His thing. We would occasionally be on the same page with God, but that was more chance than anything.
Well, I'm here to tell you that that kind of belief is not right. The next verse changes everything! It starts with the word 'BUT,' which is a connection word. It joins two thoughts together into one thought.
Jesus is our access to everything God has stored up for us. He wasn't hiding them from us; he was hiding them for us. You see, if God had revealed everything before Jesus, satan could have stolen the word before we could get it.
Because of Jesus, we have direct access through the Holy Spirit to the thoughts of God. This is a massive game-changer for us!
