Rightly Judging
As believers, we have the Bible as our guide in all things. Personally, I've been a student of the Bible for so long that I'm constantly using the word as my gold standard for how I view the world. This is how I judge everything, according to the word.
This is where some believers get into trouble. They think that they need to confront the whole world because that is what judging means, right? Wrong!! Simply put, we filter what we see, what we hear, and what we feel through the word of God. The word is always right.
We rightly judge the world if we judge according to the word, but the word in us is not rightly judged by the world. We are seen as the problem instead of the solution. I'm perfectly fine with that, myself.
In Acts 17:6, the statement is made, "Those who have turned the world upside down, have come here, too." When light is brought into a dark world, it makes people uncomfortable.
