Watching

This verse only contains eight words, and yet, it could very well take days to study. The very first word is 'watch.' Okay, so we are to watch. What are we supposed to watch? There are lots of things that want our attention.

Jesus was having dinner at the home of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. He began to teach, and Mary was focused on what He was saying. Martha was focused on preparing a meal. She was distracted from learning from Jesus because her focus had been diverted to natural things.

Don't let things going on in the natural take your attention away from what is going on in the spiritual realm. Both the natural and spiritual realms are very busy places, and there is lots to watch. Keep your focus on eternal things.
