Imitating God
Children want to imitate their dad. As a dad, I can't think of a better compliment than that. Our Heavenly Father is no different. The question is, how do you imitate the Creator of the universe?
To start with, God created everything by speaking it into existence. If we are imitators, we speak our world into existence. Whether you realize it or not, you are living a life today that you spoke sometime in the past. Other attributes of God are being patient, kind, loving, fair, forgiving, compassionate, and preferring others. This is not a complete list by any means, but there is enough here to keep me busy for a lifetime.
How about you? Don't be afraid of imitating God, as if there is something wrong with it. It is one of the best compliments you can give your Father!
